A little bit about me

I’ve spent most of my adult life working in software engineering, building and solving things that interested me long before I ever considered it a career.

I joined the U.S. Army in 2005, and before long I found myself doing much the same thing there: designing and developing custom software solutions for my unit and squadron to solve real-world problems and make things work better.

Outside of software, I’ve always had a deep interest in science and engineering. That curiosity has led me into chemistry, robotics, electronics, and electrical engineering, along with a long list of hands-on projects that usually begin with, “I wonder if I can build that.”

I’m a lifelong tinkerer, problem solver, and skeptic. If I don’t understand how something works, there’s a good chance I’m going to take it apart, research it, experiment with it, and eventually build my own version.
